Being away from your husband or significant other can be extremely difficult, but sometimes these wives and girlfriends have to stay strong for the sake of their children. Deployment can be incredibly hard on children because they often don’t understand what is going on.
They can’t comprehend that their daddy won’t be coming home like their friends’ fathers, and they can find the time apart extremely alienating. The experience of being a military wife can often rip families apart, or they can push them back together. There’s just no telling which one it would be.
