One thing many parents forget is how differently children sometimes interpret the things adults say. And sometimes it makes the adult look a little silly. Parents often tell their children to finish their food, but as it turns out this little girl didn’t know “clear you plate” means the exact same thing.
So instead of asking her mother why she should move the food from the plate to the table, she obeyed her mother and did exactly what was asked of her.
