So many of the animated films featured on this list have had live-action remakes in the last few years. ‘Aladdin’ is one of them, with the 1992 release updated for new audiences in 2019. Response to the latest version was mixed, and it failed to bag the Grammy and Academy Awards that the original got back in the ‘90s.
Although it made over $1 billion at the box office, viewers would apparently prefer to watch the animation, even if it allegedly costs $17,500 for the VHS tape.
