Even though Disney films are aimed at children, they have their dark points. The 1942 animated classic ‘Bambi’ is a perfect example of that. The scene when Bambi’s mother is hunted down is one of the most heartbreaking moments in cinematic history.
It leaves you wondering what Disney was thinking including it in the film, although we suppose kids have to learn about that stuff eventually. Still, we expect the heartache is not the reason why collectors will apparently pay $25,476 for the VHS tape with other Disney classics.
