The end of the ‘80s and beginning of the ‘90s were a wonderful time for Disney. That was when they started releasing more animated movies and became popular again. One of their biggest hits during this time was ‘The Little Mermaid, ’ which made $233 million at the box office and won multiple Academy Awards.
Considering the critical role that this movie played for the company, we’re not too shocked that people would reportedly pay $6,992 for the VHS copy. Especially when it contains box art that’s now been banned.
