Some of Francis Ford Coppola’s most celebrated works are ‘The Godfather’ crime movies, particularly the first one. This scored around $250 million at the box office in 1972, exceeding its estimated $6 million budget by a mile. The follow-up managed similar success, with many considering it one of the greatest sequels ever made.
That’s a pretty significant achievement given people tend to condemn sequels for ruining their respective franchises. Given the popularity of these movies, we can understand why they might supposedly sell for $300, even though they’re on VHS.
