It took a long time for ‘The Lion King’ to go from an idea to a finished product – roughly six years – but the wait was worth it. The movie grossed around $1 billion and continues to be one of Disney’s most beloved animated films ever.
It’s so popular that many people prefer it over the 2019 remake and that feature’s Beyoncé in the cast. Beyoncé! Although you can easily buy the ‘90s classic on DVD for a reasonable price, mint condition copies of the VHS tape are apparently worth $250.
