We really had a whole spiel prepared for you about mirror convexity and how it relates to your car’s side view mirrors (“Objects in mirror are closer than they appear”), but it seems like the simplest explanation really is the most likely.
Upon closer inspection, the top mirror is protruding on a cupboard or something, while the bottom mirror is farther way near the wall. Kind of ruins the magic of the whole thing, but it’s still pretty hilarious that at no point in the planning process did anyone think that standing in front of them will turn on Big Head mode.
