Despite the massive success of his first album, Billy Ray Cyrus’ later albums would put in increasingly poor performances. His second album, ‘It Won’t be the Last’, performed reasonably well, generating decent sales, although these were much lower than his debut album.
The album produced several songs that managed to make it into the top 40 of the Billboard charts. However, the sales of his albums continued to drop steadily , and it would be years before Cyrus had another hit song. His career was unmistakably in a slump.
