In 1993, Billy Ray and Leticia were still happily together, and were expecting the birth of their second child. Cyrus’ label were not happy with the relationship, and wanted Cyrus to end things with Finley.
They knew that Billy Ray wanted to marry Leticia, but they wanted to be able to preserve his image as a single bachelor. However, Cyrus and Finley were determined to be together, and in December of 1993 the couple were secretly married, without the label’s knowledge.
