Chaz believed that his mother didn’t take the news too well, and Cher herself admits that it had been a difficult time for her. However, she said that she was only worried because Chaz was the child of famous parents – herself and Sonny – and so she believed that things would be made more trying for Chaz.
Luckily, Chaz fully embraced himself in 2008 and decided to transition from Chastity to Chaz, a legal man. After struggling to understand it at first, Cher has since become a staunch advocate for the LGBT community.
