Sonny and Cher gave birth to their first child, Chaz, back on March 4, 1969. While the world may know him as Chaz Bono now, he was actually born as Chastity Sun Bono.
Chaz admitted that when he was growing up, he felt as though there was something “different” about him. When he decided to come out to his mother, there are two sides to the story. Chaz explained that Cher was told by Sonny, but in Cher’s memoir, she says Chaz came out to her face to face.
