Although she might not necessarily regret anything that happened, Cher does look back and wonder what could have been if her success with Sonny had taken a backseat earlier on her career.
In the interview, she added, “When I packed up and left Sonny, he felt like I was playing the victim. If he had agreed to let me go earlier on, things would have been more amicable.” She then continued saying, “Even though we might not have said nice things, it didn’t matter. I knew him too well.”
