So many people in one area meant that the organizers had to think on their feet. Sadly, they had no way of getting enough food for the people. That’s when the army stepped in to help.
To start, many people believed that the forces were there to put a stop to Woodstock. However, it turned out that the army was actually helicoptering in food and medical supplies. They had to fly everything in as the traffic was still too bad to combat.
