During the 2018 Oscars, Will & Grace’s Debra Messing was stopped by E! host Giuliana Rancic for an interview. Instead of talking about her dress for the evening, Messing surprisingly called out E! directly.
The month prior, former E! host Catt Sadler had quit after finding out that her male co-worker Jason Kennedy was earning nearly double her salary. Messing took the opportunity to address the resignation. “I was shocked to hear that E! doesn’t believe in paying their female co-hosts the same as their male co-hosts. I miss Catt Sadler.”
