Many people forget that Poland was the first nation to be invaded by Germany during World War II. It seems that after that horrendous war, Poland took it upon itself to be more prepared than ever for another such occasion. Poland has 120,000 active frontline personnel and an additional 515,000 reserves. They also have 461 air crafts, 1,009 tanks and 83 naval vessels. The Polish armed forces are made up of four branches – Land Forces, Air Force, Navy and Special Forces.
