Barbara “Barb” Holland is the friend we all needed in high school. She’s loyal and wise, always standing up for her best friend Nancy and cautioning her. Barb is the monster’s second victim and is taken to the “Upside Down” universe after Nancy leaves her alone at a party. The Internet responded favorably to Barb, creating supportive memes and fansites honoring the overlooked and underappreciated character. Fans started trending “Justice For Barb” on Twitter soon after the show premiered.
