You might not think it, but you have an unlikely source to thank for the Star Wars movies. Indeed, the original Star Wars movie is based on Akira Kurosawa’s 1958 classic The Hidden Fortress. One of the things that Lucas loved the most about the film was that its story was told from the point of view of two of the more minor characters.
