Before she became Samantha Stephens, Elizabeth Montgomery was known first and foremost as the aspiring actress who was the daughter of Robert Montgomery. The actor and producer had a huge career under his belt, as Elizabeth felt as though she was constantly trying to fight her way out of her father’s shadow. She didn’t want to associate her own fame with her father, and Bewitched allowed her the chance to do just that. By the time Bewitched came to an end, she was even more famous than her dad.
