Since the release of Blackfish, SeaWorld’s reputation has become increasingly tarnished and they’ve lost support from big name musicians who were once previously booked to perform at the parks. The BareNaked Ladies, Willie Nelson, Cheap Trick, and The Beach Boys are just a few of the bands who have cancelled their shows and refused to play on behalf of the cruel treatment Tilikum and other marine animals endure in captivity. A majority of the organization’s corporate sponsors also cut the SeaWorld brand name loose after they were exposed in the eye-opening documentary.
