Flying is an activity that nobody barring the pilot has any control over. For some, that is too much, and they have a real fear of flying because if things go wrong in mid-air, then there’s pretty much nothing you can do about it.
This plane got caught up in some incredibly powerful wind and could not stabilize. The wind forced the aircraft to come crashing down to earth in a tragic accident, showing that even though flying is statistically safer than driving a car, it’s not entirely reliable.
