At first, it seemed as though Princess Anne and Mark Phillips were a match made in heaven. Both were horse enthusiasts, and Phillips was even an Olympic gold medalist. As the years passed, though, cracks began to appear. Their union was dubbed a “joyless sham” by the press, and it seemed like Phillips might’ve concurred. In 1985, while still married to Anne, he allegedly had a one night encounter with New Zealand art teacher Heather Tonkin. That union produced a child, Felicity, who Phillips was forced to officially recognize after a 1991 paternity suit.
