They later got married, had two daughters, and seemed to be happy. However, Andrew’s frequent absences due to his Navy service and incessant media attention led to their separation in 1992. When photos emerged of Fergie and her financial advisor being intimate, a scandal broke out and the marriage ended in divorce.
