As we’ve mentioned before, Prince Philip retired from his royal duties in August, 2017, after completing 22,219 solo engagements. In fact, after stepping down Philip has rarely been seen in public, with his last appearance coming at Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding in May, 2019. Now, it’s come to light that another royal wedding has been changed to accommodate him.
In May, 2020, Princess Beatrice will tie the knot with her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. While the wedding was originally slated to take place in Italy, it was moved to the U.K. so Beatrice’s grandfather Philip would be able to attend. Now that’s a good granddaughter.
