It’s likely that the Queen denied giving Beatrice and Eugenie money for the same reason that the Swedish King has now taken away his grandchildrens’ titles. She can’t be seen to be paying all her relatives to work for the monarchy, especially given how many of them there are.
Prince Charles appears to share this mindset, which is why he’s reportedly hoping to streamline the Royal Family once he ascends to the throne. Robert Jobson, another royal expert, apparently believes the future King is after “a smaller, more cost-effective monarchy.”
