Although Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have flourished away from the monarchy, there were efforts to give them a more established role in the Royal Family. According to The Sun, their father once wrote to the Queen asking that she provide them with funding from the Sovereign Grant.
This would have meant that they’d continue to be paid by the monarchy to carry out work on its behalf. Unfortunately, the Queen rejected their request, meaning that they were largely left to fend for themselves financially once they came of age.
