Part of the justification for removing these titles was to give the kids the kind of life that Harry and Meghan want for Archie. By not being royal highnesses, the children wouldn’t have to deal with royal duties like their parents. That means they can grow up to do whatever they want, rather than devoting their lives to the monarchy.
While this might not be what they want when they’re older, at least they’ll have the freedom that the likes of Prince George and Princess Charlotte will never know.
