The entire premise of The Matrix is that we are all in a computer simulation run by robots and that real life is a lie. A group of people have been able to get out of the matrix and try to save humanity, but they need someone to plug and unplug them into it.
However, when a character named Cypher goes into the matrix in order to betray everyone, something isn’t right – how can he plug himself in? And how could he meet with the machine agents without getting caught by his teammates?
