In Interstellar, humanity has completely killed the planet and needs to find a new planet to call home. The main character, Cooper, notices fluctuations in the Earth’s gravity and goes out to investigate.
He then stumbles upon a top secret NASA mission to save humanity. The part that we don’t get is why do the NASA scientists all of a sudden say that Cooper is the one who needs to lead the mission? After all, he just happened to stumble upon it!
