A veterinarian was working in the ER when a lady came in with an injured puppy. She claimed the dog had been attacked, and because she was in such a panic, she only left the house with one credit card.
That meant the woman only had half of the surgery money, but the vet thought the story seemed legit, so did the operation. The woman was meant to come back the following day to pay the rest of the money, but they are still waiting for it many years later.
