This socially awkward person noticed a woman in distress at their bus stop. It took them a long time to finally pluck up the courage to speak up and ask the woman if everything was okay. They put on their softest voice and made sure to ask in a non-threatening way.
Unfortunately for the shy person, the woman began to scream at them and told them to stop bothering her. All of that courage was gone in an instant when this nice deed backfired.
