As well as sharing their news on social media, McKinli also decided to post professional photos on her blog. She uploaded the results of a family photo shoot on Mommy’s Little Sunshine, and she also decided to explain their choice in name. Because McKinli loved her own unusual name, she wanted her baby girl to also stand out from the crowd.
She didn’t want to pick a name that anyone else would have when their daughter went to school or work, and so they eventually came up with various different options. These included: Taylee, McKarty, Nayvie, Maylee, and Lakynn. To start with, both McKinli and Devan both wanted to call their daughter Taylee. However, when they realized that it was more common than they thought, they went with another option.
