After Gelbwaks left the show, tabloids began to circulate that the young actor was difficult to work with on set and that his family was too demanding.
We later learned that the real reason for his departure was that a job took his father out of state and the family had to move. Gelbwaks never returned to acting. Instead he studied business at Columbia University in New York City and now works as a management consultant in New Orleans.
