Patrick’s father, Alfred, was a soldier during World War II when Patrick himself was just a young boy. Patrick said that his father suffered greatly from PTSD upon returning from his time in the military. Learning that his father suffered so much is what led Stewart to be a big supporter of the charity Combat Stress. Stewart was born in 1940, meaning that the first 5 years of his life were shadowed by the war.
