Elliott’s dedication to his craft and respectfulness has made many directors eager to work with him. In fact, his modesty made him so inconspicuous that Paul Weitz, Elliott’s director in the indie drama Grandma, mistook him for a crew member.
He insists on grabbing his own coffee in the morning and waits to be called for shooting. Weitz told the New York Times that Elliott comes early to work and is always prepared. “Gentlemanliness comes natural to me,” said Elliott. “That’s the way I was raised.”
