Fighter planes only have so much use before they are retired and replaced by something newer and shinier. The US Air Force has a graveyard for their aircraft, and this is it in Tucson, Arizona.
The storage center has been in place since the Second World War and is estimated to have around 4,000 different types of military plane. Due to the low humidity, it is the perfect place to store these planes without them corroding, making it a great junkyard for spare parts.
