[post_page_title]That sinking feeling[/post_page_title]
This is a sinkhole that opened up in Guatemala following a tropical storm in 2010. A great big hole opened up in the middle of Guatemala City, taking a three-story factory with it. It was believed that it wasn’t solely because of the tropical storm that this sinkhole opened up.

That sinking feeling

There was also the eruption of a nearby volcano and a leak from a sewer pipe which ate away at the dirt beneath the surface. The hole measured 65 feet in diameter and 300 feet deep.
