In the ’70s, there were hardly any musical power couples that were quite as successful as Carly Simon and James Taylor. The amount of top 40 hits shared between the two is staggering, and their unique takes on folk rock and singer-songwriter music helped push the genres into the mainstream across the span of the decade.
Both Carly and James have achieved legendary status within the musical community at this point. They were married for 11 years and had two children together, both of whom are musicians. Go figure, it’s in the genes!
