Old Dominion frontman Matthew Ramsey started out playing drums, but decided to try guitar at the age of 14. That’s the instrument fans continue to associate with him, though he’s a talented songwriter who has written for other artists, including Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley.
As for Old Dominion, the band was formed as a way to showcase all the songs that were written by each of its members. Their combined efforts produced their first album, ‘Meat and Candy,’ which sold 20,500 copies in its first week.
