When you have a movie like The Shining, the amount of memorable moments are endless. However, at the very climax of the film, there’s a moment that is probably the most iconic of all – when Jack Torrance (played by Jack Nicholson) scares his wife by sticking his face through a door and screaming, “Here’s Johnny!”.
Interestingly enough, Nicholson improvised the line on the spot, using inspiration from the signature catchphrase said on The Johnny Carson Show. This movie really showcased the amazing acting chops of Jack Nicholson, but then again – we wouldn’t expect any less from this acting legend. The improvised line became one of the most quotes lines in history.
