This 1975 thriller single-handedly made us all frightened of sharks (probably), but there is one line that provided some comic relief to the entire tenseness of the Spielberg classic.
Chief Martin Brody (played by Roy Scheider) realizes that he’s accidentally fed a shark and delivers one of the best lines in the film – “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.” This comedic relief, paired with how tense the whole situation is, was truly iconic. And ad-libbed.
