We’ve covered what to do to stop your fruit and veg from becoming too ripe – but what if they’re not ripe enough. Well, in this case our enemy ethylene becomes a very good friend to us. All you need to do is put your fruit – e.g. apples, avocados, kiwis – in a paper bag. Then the ethylene will be kept around the fruit, letting it do its work and start ripening them up. As such, you’ll have perfectly ripe fruit within a day!
