There is a tale of another man who suffered through a biblical flood. The tale is from ancient Mesopotamia and is known as the Epic of Gilgamesh, it follows the story of a man searching for eternal life.
Gilgamesh visits a man called Utnapishtim, who was said to have survived the great flood. The great flood tales are told to be so similar that there is a chance that both tales were derived from ancient Mesopotamia.
