Forrest’s home in the movie has such a distinctive look to it, but you might not have realized that it was used again. Six years after Forrest Gump, the famous Southern style home was used in another big classic hit – The Patriot.
The Mel Gibson flick shot scenes both inside and outside of the house, as well, but the interior was re-paneled before getting the scenes on camera. This might explain why it doesn’t look too familiar in The Patriot and could pass as a different house.
