[post_page_title]That Writer’s Guild incident[/post_page_title]
According to comedian and screenwriter Jack Allison, who has written for Jimmy Kimmel Live, James showed up to a late night meeting with the Writer’s Guild of America, with just an executive producer and none of the show’s actual writing staff.
He then proceeded to advocated for the wage for writers to be lowered, justifying his reason behind this being that he needed to be able to afford to hire writing assistants. This is pretty insensitive, considering that much of his success is attributed to the talent of his writers.
