Lynda Day George began her career as a young model, who broke into the world of film in the 60s. In 1970, she met and married actor Christopher George on the set of Chisum. She placed motherhood and being a wife as a high priority, but had plans to pursue her career further.

For her performance in Mission: Impossible, she received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations in 1972 and 1973, respectively.

Lynda retired from acting after her husband suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of 52. After that she only made minor appearances in shows like Murder She Wrote and Blacke’s Magic, but rarely took roles offered to her later in life.
