After Sherrie’s time on The Facts of Life, she appeared in other television shows such as The French Prince of Bel-air, Exile, and Open house. Afterwards she began her music career, something she was very passionate about.
She was part of the band Colorhaus in the 1990s, after which she moved from her native Australia to the United States. In 2003 she topped the Billboard charts with her song, Streets of Heaven. She has been making album after album, with her fifth and latest one released in 2011.
