John played the role of Headmaster Steven Bradley on the show for it’s first season, from 1979 to 1980. Along with being the headmaster of Eastland, he also taught various classes at the school.
John’s character was also victim to the cut made between season one and two, along with the other four girls who were fired from the cast. Mrs. Garrett seemed to be enough of a personality for the show’s producers so that the role of John was not needed anymore.
