Shemar Moore played the role of Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds from 2005 to 2016. His role on the show was that of a former Chicago PD officer who wanted to make more of a difference in the justice system with his expertise in explosives and passion crimes. Moore left the show in season 11 after he felt like his character had done its part. Shemar is a model as well as an actor with notable roles in The Young and the Restless and hosting Soul Train.
