We were first introduced to Detective Natalia Boa Vista in season five of CSI: Miami. At first Natalia works as a DNA analyst, but is only permitted to work on unsolved or cold cases. Later on, we discover that this was just a cover story, as in reality she was an FBI agent who had gone undercover.
Of course, Natalia falls in the love with the police work and actually quits the Feds to join the MDPD full time, becoming a CSI Level 1. In her personal life, she divorces her abusive husband Nick, who’s later mysteriously slain.
